HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEGASUS!
May 1st marked Pegasus‘ 30th year of business in the Marina District on Bainbridge Island. To celebrate the day curent owners Jeff & Jocelyn Waite hosted a live broadcast of the Buy Local Radio Hour. Produced by Jim Freeman, Kitsap Community and
Agricultural Alliance (KCAA), the hour long show focuses on local food and local producers. Saturday’s Pegasus show featured interviews with David Dessinger, founder of Pegasus Coffees, Brian MacWhorter, Butler Green Farms, Rebecca Slatterly, Persephone Farms, Sallie Maron & Carolyn Goodwin, Sound Food, and others as well as music from bands, The Blushin’ Roulettes and Gwyneth & Monko. Along with two live performances from both bands, the house provided everyone with free coffee-flavored birthday cake.
